BEGINNING REQUIREMENTS...

1.  Open OOTPX and look on the top left hand corner.  You should be running Version 10.2.36 (Patch #5) - If you are not you must download the new patch here.. OOTPX Patch 5  or your exports will not work.  This is extremely important!!

2. You must have file extraction software to make the file extract properly.  If you do not have any, I suggest winRAR.  It is free and can be downloaded here

3. You must go to iMLB-ootp.com and in the box on the left-hand side that is for "Reg Password"... type in "baseball" You will then be prompted to register.  An activation link will be sent to your e-mail address and you must activate your account to log-in.  You must have a website ID to access the file for important security measures.  After you register you are ready to begin the file download process!!

" INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE LEAGUE FILE"

STOP - Have you done the 3 beginning requirements listed above???  If so, you may continue.  If not, please complete them or the file will not work and both of us will undoubtedly waste some time figuring out what the problem is.

 


STEP 1. Please goto the iMLB main page and login which is Located here www.iMLB-ootp.com

STEP 2. CLICK on league file which is located on the user menu after log-in.

STEP 3. Download the league file and when it ask you to OPEN or SAVE file. Click on save, then it will ask you where you would like to save the file, The best and easiest place to save it will be the DESKTOP  (CAUTION - THIS IS A LARGE DOWNLOAD AND WILL TAKE A WHILE)

STEP 4. Now you should have the file sitting on your DESKTOP, Next i need you to go to My Documents/Out of the Park Developments/OOTP 10/Saved games,

STEP 5. Once you click on saved games, I need you to go back to the desktop and right click on the file called iMLB.tar and then i need you to hit CUT,once you did that go back to the SAVED GAMES FOLDER,which should still be open on your desktop,and right click on a WHITE (EMPTY) spot in the saved games window,and hit PASTE, now the iMLB.tar will be in the saved games folder. (Dragging and dropping into the Saved Games Location also works)

STEP 6. Now that the iMLB.tar is located in your saved games, I need you to once again right click it and hit EXTRACT to iMLB.lg  - now that it is EXTRACTING if a window pops up and says file already EXISTS,would you like to replace ,PLEASE HIT (YES TO ALL)

STEP 7. Once that gets done with the extracting,a folder will appear called iMLB.LG  IMPORTANT!! IF THE FOLDER IS CALLED "IMLB" THEN RENAME IT TO "IMLB.LG"   Now you should be finished, just open the game up and SELECT load game, OF COURSE you will pick the iMLB game, once its loaded select your team name and enter your password (the default is baseball).  Then hit UPDATE LEAGUE FILE,if its says could not update league file THATS fine (you have the most recent file)!   However, if it starts to DOWNLOAD the new file thats fine, just patiently wait for the file to download.  This will take approximately 15 minutes.

ONE FINAL THING......

MAKE A PASSWORD!!!!

Once your in side OOTP, I need you to hit MANAGER HOME,which is located in the bottom left hand corner once in manager home,you will now need to click MANAGER OPTIONS,which is located in the top left hand corner now that your in manager OPTIONS, TYPE in a NEW password, once you type in a new password,be sure to remember what it is ,now hit OK,after that PLEASE BE SURE TO EXPORT TO FTP, if you forget to export you will have to wait untill the next sim to do it again. HOPE THIS HELPS EVERYONE WHO NEEDED IT.
