Tuesday, October 9th, 2012: Local media has been reporting that Cleveland's Bobby Jenks could be on the move. However, neither team officials, nor the 31-year-old reliever chose to comment when approached.
Morrison Is NL Batting Champ
Tuesday, October 9th, 2012: The end of the baseball season brings with it a bevy of awards. The latest went to Logan Morrison, the 2012 National League batting champion. For the year, the Pirates first baseman posted a .342 batting average. His 176 base hits included 36 doubles, no triples, and 19 home runs. Additionally, Morrison scored 96 times and knocked in 92 runs.
Zaneski Bats .339, Wins AL Batting Title
Tuesday, October 9th, 2012: Zach Zaneski will look back at the 2012 season and smile proudly. The Texas Rangers catcher rapped out 152 hits and put up a .339 average. That was good enough to take this year's batting honors in the American League. The 26-year-old Zaneski ended the regular season with 19 doubles, no triples, 29 home runs, while scoring 72 times and driving in 103 runs.
